In the last 6 months I've been working for via my own production company as well as freelance in Michigan. Most of my gigs have been Post work or Camera Operation, which is where a majority of my training and background surrounds.

This entire week I have been working in the wardrobe department on a feature being shot in Flint, Michigan.

I can't believe how much WORK wardrobe is. The Costume designer is an awesome cat, who is very meticulous as is creative. The sorting of these hundreds of crates containing thousands of period clothes, shoes, hats, and various other accessories has been the most work I think I've ever done on set.

Preproduction is a very daunting, but it involves a lot of different areas of attention, where as Wardrobe is strictly 12 hour days of CLOTHES.

The benefit of working in this department are the people. These cats are a bucket of fun and have such love for the craft. I definitely have an insane new appreciation for a department I apparently BARELY knew.
